Our Meetings for Business are an extension of our worship. Periods of silence, especially at the beginning and the end, help us seek guidance in our transactions. Our authority is the Spirit, not the majority, nor the opinion of the Clerk or of scripture. We do not follow parliamentary procedure, but rather discuss issues until we reach a “sense of the meeting.” Meetings for Business are held the first Sunday of every month.
Worship Sharing combines reverent silence with a query (a question to think about), such as “How does peace inform your life?” Each participant shares whatever memories, feelings, anecdotes, or experiences the query inspires.
Meeting for Learning is a forum for sharing and discussing spiritual concerns, readings, and topics of interest. They are based on a particular book or a subject that guides us in learning more about what we believe and how we live.
